Qualitative Filter Papers

Microclar qualitative filter papers have been designed for their use in analytical methods. They allow determination and identification of particles suspended in a liquid, independently of the present quantity.
Their quality assures a proper particle retention, filtration speed, load capacity and resistance in humid state.

CL-501 Series

The CL-501 filter paper series is the most used for routine retention applications with medium to fast filtration
speed.

Features

Filtration speed:
Medium - Fast (22s).
Average ash content: < 0.1% with minimum 95% of alpha cellulose.
Weight: 70 gr/m2.
Thickness: 0,16 mm.
Average retention capacity: 4-12 μ.
Surface: smooth.

Uses

For use in general laboratory filtration procedures, for fine to medium precipitates as for example paraffin
content in bitumen.

CL-506 Series

The CL-506 filter paper series is used in routine retention applications with medium to fast filtration speed.

Features

Filtration speed: Medium - Fast (27s).
Average ash content: < 0.1% with minimum 95% of alpha cellulose.
Weight: 85 gr/m2.
Thickness: 0,2 mm.
Average retention capacity: 4-12 μ.
Surface: smooth.

Uses

For retention of soil nutrients necessary for plant growth, to control specific contaminants and for soil analysis.

CL-518 Series

The CL-518 filter paper series has a higher fine particles retention capacity and a higher saturation capacity due to its thickness.

Features

Filtration speed:
Medium - Fast (22s).
Average ash content: < 0.1% with minimum 95% of alpha cellulose.
Weight: 140 gr/m2.
Thickness: 0,32 mm.
Average retention capacity: 6 μ.
Surface: smooth.

Uses

To analyze samples of wine, alcohol, essential oils, beer, waste water, cologne, essences, vinegars, extracts, paint, galvanic baths, gelatins, glycerine, capillary lotions, varnish, perfumes, saline solutions, syrups, alcoholic beverages, dyes, saccharine juices, etc. Due to its absorption capacity it is also suitable for sample transportation.

CL-WINE Series

The CL-Wine filter paper series is the most used in routine retention analysis in the wine industry.

Features

Filtration speed: Medium - Fast (22s).
Average ash content: < 0.1% with minimum 95% of alpha cellulose.
Weight: 70 gr/m2.
Thickness: 0,16 mm.
Average retention capacity: 4-12 μ.
Surface: smooth.

Uses

For general laboratory filtration, turbidity studies and sugar analysis.

CL-567 Series

The CL-567 filter paper series provides high filtration speed, ideal for gelatinous precipitates.

Features

Filt
ration speed: Very fast (9s).
Average ash content: < 0.1% with minimum 95% of alpha cellulose.
Weight: 85 gr/m2.
Thickness: 0,2 mm.
Average retention capacity: 7-12 μ.
Surface: smooth.

Uses

Filtration of gelatin precipitates. As fast filter in routine cleaning of biological fluids and organic extracts. Ideal when high flow speed is required and when the recovery of fine particles is not critical.
