Features

  • Material with high protein, virus and ADN affinity that diminishes with increasing pore size.
  • Good pore size uniformity over all the porosity range.
  • Thickness varies between 135 and 155 µm with increasing pore size.
  • Water extractables aprox. 1%.
  • Resistant to aqueous solutions in pH range 4 - 10. Compatible with hydrocarbons and some organic solvents as chloroform.
  • It is not compatible with acetone, methanol 98%, inorganic acids and alkalis.
  • Transparentizable with immersion oil for microscopy of refractive index of 1.4142.
  • Autoclavable a 121ºC.
  • Dry thermal stability under temperature less than 130°C.

Uses

Clarification and sterilization of aqueous solutions, microbiological analysis, retention of cells and DNA
hybridization studies.
