Dr. Andres G. Meyer is a graduate from Buenos Aires Sciences University, and holds a PhD from the Institute of Organic Chemistry of the TH Darmstadt, Germany.

His career began in Germany in E. Merck, Darmstadt, as regional manager for the Latin America Reagents and Clinical Diagnostics Products Division.

When he returned to Buenos Aires, he began his career in the filtration field in 1976, working for Millipore Intertech, where he retired in 1981 as Regional Manager for Latin America.

Earlier that year, he founded his own company, which was the exclusive distributor in Argentina for Sartorius AG Filtration Division and Filtrox AG of Switzerland of filtration sheets and lenticular modules.

During this period, he served as a consultant for Filtrox and Sartorius AG in Latin America, bringing his vast experience to other countries in the continent.

After leaving Sartorius and Filtrox, in 2001, he developed his own line of filter membranes and cartridges, Microclar, a brand with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and a clear innovative vision. The success of this development opened the door to the opportunity to expand the supply of products for laboratories and production. The sustained growth enabled Microclar product line to become Microclar Argentina SA, founded in 2003.

The experience also led to the national manufacturing of lenticular modules especially for the wine industry.

Dr. Meyer is currently the Chairman of Microclar Argentina SA, a position that allows him to instill the fundamental values of the company into all the company staff. He is still the technical advisor for Microclar, providing support for national and international markets, where Microclar Argentina products are present.
